iCampus @ UQ
As we move further along the path of universal higher education provision one challenge is how do we engage our students in active learning when we have ever increasing class sizes, limitations on teaching space and increasingly sophisticated and complex information and knowledge to impart?
It is MITs foresight in recognising that knowledge should be a shared rather than a tradeable commodity that has lead to this innovative collaboration, iCampus. The iCampus suite of tools extends and enhances the learning experience through the concept that technology can be used for creating knowledge and developing a deeper understanding of disciplinary content.
For UQ being part of this network, has not only provided our students and staff with access to the iCampus tools so that they can start to create their own projects, but it has been the stimulus to further collaborations in Australia and with our near neighbours in South East Asia and New Zealand.
